The Nebraska women hope to continue their early offensive surge against No. 6 Brigham Young on Saturday night at 8 and at Utah State at 2 p.m. Monday.
The 2-0 Huskers recorded 30 shots, 14 shots on goal and four goals in both of their first two matches, already matching last year’s season-high for shots (30).
The Cougars, who went to the Elite Eight last year, defeated Cal State Fullerton 3-1 to open the season. The Aggies are off to a 2-0 start with shutout victories against Creighton and Utah Valley.
Mavs set for home opener
After playing Northern Colorado on Friday, the UNO women will take on North Dakota at noon Sunday at the UNO Soccer Field.
All three teams are 0-2.
Fans who bring soccer equipment to donate (cleats, soccer balls, shin guards, uniforms, socks) will receive $2 off admission on Friday. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students.
Jays looking for first victory
The Creighton women will be chasing their first victory when they play North Dakota on Friday at 5 p.m. and Northern Colorado Sunday at 3 p.m. at Morrison Stadium. Both teams are 0-2.
The Bluejays lost at Utah State and Boise State last weekend. Freshman Paige Jarsombeck scored her first goal against Boise.
