Omaha police arrested three juveniles Wednesday in connection with 10 robberies the night before.
Police said they were arrested on suspicion of 10 counts of robbery. And one of the teens was also arrested on suspicion of theft by receiving.
The juveniles were spotted in a car near 47th and Jaynes Streets. They were taken into custody following a foot pursuit, said Officer James Shade, a police spokesman.
Shade said police found property linking the juveniles to the robberies. Two of the suspects are 16, and one is 17.
The robberies occurred in a 5½-hour period Tuesday night and early Wednesday.
Most of the victims were held up while walking or running. The teens brandished a firearm during several of the robberies, but no victims were injured.
Police said the rash of robbery reports began at 7:40 p.m. and continued until almost 1 a.m. Wednesday. The robberies occurred across a wide swath of Omaha, from just west of downtown to 72nd and Dodge Streets.
Besides the robberies, one attempted robbery was reported.
Most of the victims reported being approached by two to four men. Some told investigators that the men were traveling in a silver or blue sedan.
Among the victims were five teenagers. Two robberies were reported at one of the locations, 23rd and Davenport Streets.
