If you didn't get your fill of fashion last week, you'll get another chance to check out work by some local designers on Friday.
Longtime friends Samone Davis and Brittney Rose will celebrate the launch of their label, Legalized Rebellion, at 8 p.m. Friday at House of Loom, 1012 S. 10th St.
The women began making their own clothes in 2011; they were broke college students and would scour thrift stores for both mint-condition finds and for things they could alter. Eventually, they became more brave, completely remaking ugly dresses and other unwearable garments they found that happened to be made from interesting, high-quality or rare fabrics.
Davis then apprenticed with a seamstress and began to make clothing from scratch. Their line is a combination of reworked vintage pieces as well as new, one-of-a-kind creations. Davis and Rose will show pieces from their fall collection at the showing.
Tickets are $10 and are available at the door.

Also at House of Loom this weekend: a Prince/Michael Jackson dance party.
Loom has hosted Prince/MJ dance parties before, and they've gone over well — pretty much everyone has celebrated various moments in their lives to a Prince or Michael Jackson soundtrack.
Brent Crampton will play Michael Jackson hits, while guest DJ Funk Dopolis will represent Prince, and they'll also play music by contemporaries of the two iconic artists. Doors open at 8 p.m. and cover is $5.
