Omaha police were investigating an alleged abduction and assault that occurred Monday near North 30th Street and Laurel Avenue.
Police said Janice Daniels, 35, who lives at 5910 N. 30th St., said two to three men forced their way into her home a little before 7 a.m. They took a 27-year-old woman, a friend who had been staying with Daniels for the past two days, against her will, police said.
Another person who was in the home, Gregory Dreher, 38, told police that he was awakened by the men. One of the men struck him in the head with an object, leaving him with a two-inch gash on his forehead, he told police.
He was taken to Creighton University Medical Center for treatment.
Dreher also told police that one of the men accused him of taking part in a robbery. Dreher said he didn't know what the man was talking about, and he was then hit with the object.
