Ralston Arena will be the home of the Jet Award for the top kick returner in college football for the next 10 years.
The award was started two years ago by Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Rodgers. The 2013 honor will be presented on April 10, 2014, with an invitation-only dinner followed by the ceremony in the main bowl of the arena. A post-party will be held on the floor of the arena's auxiliary bowl. Tickets will be sold for the award presentation and post-party.
Ralston Mayor Don Groesser said the city is planning for the dinner to draw between 700 and 800 people, with another 2,000 people buying tickets for the presentation and post-party.
