Brace yourself for some cuteness.
Nebraska first lady Sally Ganem and “first puppy” Snickers hosted an event Saturday at the Governor's Mansion to raise awareness for the Capital Humane Society, which helps pups in need of good homes.
Ganem is a Snickers fan now, though there were some bumpy days until she learned not to leave her shoes out to be chewed on. Snickers, a Maltese-silky terrier mix, has his own blog on Gov. Dave Heineman's website.
Now that's a cute puppy!
Someone's popular. The first lady and Snickers give interviews to local media.
Shawn Mischnick, a volunteer from the Humane Society, and Bailey, a mixed breed up for adoption, arrive to meet the first lady and the "first puppy."
Say cheese! First Lady Ganem stands with Snickers, the other puppies and Humane Society volunteers outside the Governor's Residence.
