The Omaha Police Department says a public hearing has been scheduled for reaccreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.
Omaha police first achieved national accreditation status in March 2001 and successfully completed reaccreditation in 2004, 2007 and 2010.
The public hearing for reaccreditation from CALEA is set for Aug. 13 at 6 p.m. at the Omaha Police Department's Central Police Headquarters at 505 South 15th St.
Anyone seeking to make comments may also call (402) 444-5612 Aug. 13 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
