Husker Fan Day is Friday. Here's what you need to know

LINCOLN — Nebraska will kick off the start of preseason football practices by meeting and greeting fans during its annual Fan Day on Friday at Memorial Stadium.

Fan Day represents the best opportunity to meet the Husker players and coaching staff before the start of practice the following day.

Fan Day will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. inside Memorial Stadium with all Husker players and coaches who will be a part of preseason camp in attendance and available to fans. Fans will also have the opportunity to be among the first to step on the new Memorial Stadium FieldTurf installed at the stadium.

Nebraska will open practice on Aug. 3 as it prepares for the Aug. 31 season opener against Wyoming at Memorial Stadium.

Other information:

» Fans may enter through Gates 3 and 24 on the southeast and southwest corners of the stadium.

» Fans should limit autograph requests to one item per player or coach. Apparel items fans wish to have autographed should not be worn.

» Free parking for Fan Day will be available in the 14th and Avery parking garage, the Champions Club parking lot, Lot 8 and Lot 5. Paid parking is available in the Stadium Drive parking garage.
