A Douglas County judge on Tuesday ordered a man accused of shooting three people — one fatally — on the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge to stand trial.
Terrece R. Cox, 23, is charged with second-degree murder, two counts of second-degree assault, three counts of using a weapon to commit a felony and possession of a weapon by a prohibited person.
The shooting occurred May 29.
Prosecutors allege Cox killed Shamari K. Richards, 26, during a fight on the bridge. Kevin Jenkins, 29, and Jeremy Fejeran, 19, were wounded in the shooting.
Omaha police officers testified that Fejeran wrestled the gun away from Cox after three to five shots were fired.
Billy T. Kellogg, 27, of Omaha is charged with being an accessory to a felony.
Kellogg was involved in the fight and initially told investigators he did not know Cox, but later said he did.
