Breast cancer survivors to be brunch guests
Susan G. Komen Nebraska will sponsor a free, 1920s-themed brunch for breast cancer survivors at 10 a.m. Aug. 3 at the Embassy Suites at 12520 Westport Parkway in La Vista. Attendees are invited to wear 1920s-style garments and attitude.
California motivational speaker Diana Jordan, whom Oprah Winfrey called “one of the funniest people on the planet,” will be the featured speaker.

Durham’s final nod to Sue is ‘Jurassic Park’ screening
The Durham Museum’s third and final Family Movie Night With Sue will begin at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at the museum, 801 S. 10th St. Sue, a replica of a T. rex, is on display there through Sept. 8. “Jurassic Park” is free with paid admission or museum membership.

Goodwill Industries’ Ready program is offering free workshops for individuals who want to improve personal skills and increase job success. All workshops are from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Heartland Workforce Solutions, 5752 Ames Ave.
