The Christmas-time tentpole movie tells the story of how "Mary Poppins" made it from book to screen, a story I'm sure you've been waiting to hear all your life.
Emma Thompson plays "Mary Poppins" series author P.L. Travers, whose prickly personality threatens to derail the project. She's apparently even immune to Disney's/Hanks' winning smile and avuncular manner.
The first trailer's all kinds of warm and gooey, but, hey, there's Jason Schwartzman and B.J. Novak being ridiculous, and did I mention Tom Hanks' tiny mustache?
