A 54-year-old Omaha woman was sentenced to three years in federal prison Tuesday for stealing more than $760,000 while employed as a business manager for a local freight company.
U.S. District Court Judge Richard G. Kopf also ordered Toni R. Walker to make restitution in the amount of $765,236.
Walker took the money between November 2007 and April 2012 while employed with Royal Fowarding Inc.
According to a federal indictment, Walker drafted numerous checks to herself. She used the money for a variety of reasons, including the payment of utility bills and gambling.
