"Teen Mom" and sex tape star Farrah Abraham entered an outpatient rehab program in Florida on Sunday.
"At this time in my life, I need to stay focused on the positive to get through all of the negative that a DUI has caused in my life," Abraham, of Council Bluffs, told RadarOnline.
The single mom to Sophia, 4, was arrested in Omaha on March 18 and was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence.
She made a wide turn at 11th and Howard Streets and nearly struck a police cruiser, police said.
Her blood-alcohol content was .147 percent, nearly twice the legal limit of .08 percent, according to a police report.
Abraham was sentenced June 6 to six months of supervised probation and was fined $500 after she pleaded guilty to the drunken-driving charge. Also, her driver's license was revoked for 60 days.
She was sentenced by Douglas County Judge Marcena Hendrix.
Two other charges, refusal to submit to a pretest and disorderly conduct, were dismissed.
Abraham will undergo counseling over the next 10 days at the Lukens Institute in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Radar reported.
"I'm 22 and I want to make better choices and ensure I can recognize when I am putting myself in a bad situation next time," Abraham, who has completed an alcohol education course, told Radar.
Radar reports that Sophia will be under the care of Abraham's father, Mike, during her rehab stint.
The outpatient treatment means that while Abraham remains free to go about her daily life, she will be monitored by a sober companion.
The treatment will cost the reality star more than $12,000, a source told Radar.
Abraham appeared on the MTV programs “16 and Pregnant” and “Teen Mom,” which aired from 2009 to 2012. She also appeared in a pornographic film, “Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom,” that was released in May.
She published her autobiography, “My Teenage Dream Ended,” in August of 2012.
