The final contenders for the College Home Run Derby title have been announced.
Caleb Adams will represent the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns in the Derby. He hit 16 home runs in 2013, the most out of any slugger competing this year. He had four multi-home run games, including a trio of blasts against Sacred Heart.
South Carolina's Joey Pankake rounds out the list of eight participants. His 11 home runs placed second on the team behind LB Dantzler's 15. He will be the only Gamecock to make an appearance in Omaha this year after three consecutive College World Series appearances that included two championships.
Adams and Pankake will join Virginia's Kenny Towns, Clemson's Garrett Boulware, Florida State's DJ Stewart, Rice's Michael Aquino, Georgia Tech's Matt Gonzalez and The Citadel's Bo Thompson.
The College Home Run Derby will take place Wednesday at 7:30 at TD Ameritrade Park. It will be televised Thursday at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
