A three-vehicle traffic accident Thursday morning on Interstate 80 in Omaha left morning rush-hour traffic stacked up.
The crash, which occurred about 7:45 a.m. and involved two cars and a pickup truck, left three of five traffic lanes blocked on westbound I-80.
The accident happened at about 42nd Street.
Later, authorities shut down the 42nd Street entrance ramp to westbound I-80 due to congestion caused by the accident.
Meanwhile, eastbound motorists on I-80 were forced to deal with their own accident, which also tied up commuter traffic.
That crash occurred at about 60th Street at 7:25 a.m.
And about 9 a.m., yet another crash was reported, this time at 60th Street and westbound I-80 after a Mazda struck a light pole.
The far outside lane of westbound I-80 was shut while authorities tended to the accident scene.
