The Society for College and University Planning will hold a conference at Metropolitan Community College June 26 to explore the ways community leaders work with universities to develop new facilities and spaces.
The one-day program will discuss current projects in local institutions that exhibit collaboration and partnership between universities and development industry leaders, including the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s Community Engagement Center, Metro Community College’s Center for Advanced and Emerging Technologies and the Henry W. Bloch Executive Hall at University of Missouri-Kansas City.
The conference will feature speakers from area universities including University of Nebraska at Omaha, Metro Community College, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, University of Missouri-Kansas City and leaders from architecture firms, including BNIM Architects, The Sextant Group, Inc., Holland Basham Architects and BVH Architects.
The conference will be held at Metro Community College’s Swanson Conference Center in the Institute for the Culinary Arts from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration for non-SCUP members is $105 and $95 for members. Pre-registration ends June 12. Registration will be available at the venue on the morning of the event.
