Debbie Blank and 10 friends from Omaha visited the site of the University of Nebraska at Omaha's Bethsaida Excavation Project on the Sea of Galilee while traveling throughout Israel in April. Three travelers are graduates of UNO or Grace University; all were pleased to see a monument to Omaha's involvement in this important project. The photo received 91 percent of the online vote for the week of April 26-May 2.

The purpose of this trip to France was to visit the grave of Beverly Harral's brother, Lt. Thomas E. Higley, who was killed in action at the Battle of St. Lo in 1944. He was buried at Lorraine Cemetery in St. Avold. Pictured, from left, are Cathy Palensky, Bonnie McDowall, Beverly Harral and Darlene Sheridan, who also visited Omaha Beach.
