An Omaha teen was critically injured Monday night when her family's car was rear-ended on West Dodge Road at 162nd Street.
Anna Lundberg was a passenger in a Hyundai Elantra that was either stopped or nearly stopped in the far right lane of westbound West Dodge Road, according to police. The Elantra's flashers were on when a Chevrolet Avalanche SUV rear-ended it about 9 p.m., they said.
Four people were taken to Creighton University Medical Center. Anna Lundberg, 15, was being treated for life-threatening head and lung injuries, authorities said.
Yesha W. Lundberg, 44, Anna's mother and the driver of the Elantra, was treated for minor injuries. The Omaha driver of the SUV, Chad Gracey, 40, who was not wearing a seat belt, and his passenger, Tyler Gracey, 10, who was wearing a seat belt also were treated for minor injuries, police said.
