A man who caused a car accident that killed an off-duty police officer pleaded guilty to misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide Monday.
Shawn Stryker, 24, of Papillion will be sentenced in July.
Prosecutors say he was speeding and inattentive when his car hit a motorcycle driven by Daniel Ottis, 58, an Ashland, Neb., police officer. Ottis died Aug. 7 at the scene near 234th Street and U.S. Highway 6. — Roseann Moring
