CONCERT ANNOUNCEMENT

O.A.R. to headline College World Series opening day celebration
By Kevin Coffey
WORLD-HERALD STAFF WRITER

O.A.R. loves "this town, this city, this crowd," so they seem a perfect fit to kick off the College World Series in Omaha.

The rock band will headline the Opening Celebration Day on June 14 at TD Ameritrade Park. O.A.R.’s performance will take place outside of the stadium before opening ceremonies. The concert is free and open to the public.

In the past, the band provided music for ESPN’s coverage and filmed video clips for "This Town" in the Old Market that were used on the cable sports network.

Other bands have recorded music specifically about Omaha for the tournament, including Bowling For Soup’s song "(Ready or Not) Omaha Nebraska."
