Comic Book Convention Sunday in Omaha
The Omaha Comic Book Convention will be Sunday at Comfort Inn & Suites Omaha Central, 7007 Grover St. The event is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with no admission fee.
Dealers from several states will sell comic books from the golden age to the present as well as related collectible items such as action figures. Dealers also will buy comics.
Driver Safety classes offered for seniors
AARP Driver Safety offers a four-hour refresher course that provides instructional programs to teach drivers how to boost safety awareness, refresh and improve their driving skills, minimize crash risks, increase confidence, prolong mobility and maintain independence.

Quilt show theme: Christmas in May
May your days be merry and bright at the “Christmas in May Quilt Show” at the Bess Streeter Aldrich House in Elmwood, Neb.
Christmas and holiday-themed quilts loaned by Oxbow Quilters & Friends will be displayed Saturday through May 25. Hours will be 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for ages 6-12.
Osteoporosis treatment to be focus of free talk
Learn more about “Osteoporosis Treatment Options” during the 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday presentation at the Millard Library, 13214 Westwood Lane.
Dr. Mohsen Zena, assistant professor of endocrinology and metabolism at Creighton University School of Medicine, will speak.
Sign up for a future, free bone density scan at CU’s Osteoporosis Research Center. Support the National Osteoporosis Foundation and Friends of the Omaha Public Library with the purchase of a $25 Pearls of Strength bracelet. Ten percent of sales support the libraries.
There is no admission for the events, but registration is required by visiting or calling the Millard Library at 402-444-4848.
