Council Bluffs teen mom Farrah Abraham has recast herself as a porn queen with a new “seven-figure” sex video.
Abraham, who became famous for her appearances on a reality TV show about pregnant teens, confirmed Tuesday that she sold the rights to “Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom.”
Filmed with porn star James Deen, the video sold to Vivid Entertainment for “a seven-figure settlement,” Abraham posted on her official Facebook fan page.
“This is a risk for me to take, however I feel comfortable having given the rights to Vivid, a company I know can handle the media and press surrounding my sexuality,” she said in the statement. “I look forward to my future goals of completing my master's degree, focusing on being a great mother for my daughter as well as many other culinary business endeavors in my future.”
Abraham, 21 and the mother of a 4-year-old girl, told The World-Herald Tuesday that she had no further comment.
The Thomas Jefferson High School graduate became a reality star while appearing on MTV's “16 and Pregnant” and its spinoff “Teen Mom,” which aired from 2009 through 2012. She published her autobiography, “My Teenage Dream Ended,” in August of 2012.
Steve Hirsch, Vivid Entertainment's co-chairman, commented on the video purchase in a statement posted on that company's web site. He said Abraham reminds him of “a young Kim Kardashian,” another reality TV star.
“We went after this movie as vigorously as any sex tape we've ever pursued,” Hirsch said. “We felt it was definitely worth it, not only because of Farrah's popularity, but because the footage itself is amazing.”
News of the video sale began to spread Monday, the same day Abraham had a date in Douglas County Court, where she faces a drunken driving charge. Her attorney appeared on her behalf to enter a not guilty plea.
Abraham was arrested in Omaha on March 18. Police said she was stopped after taking a wide turn at 11th and Howard Streets and nearly hitting a police cruiser. Abraham's blood-alcohol content level measured .147, nearly twice the legal limit of .08, according to the police report.
In 2009, Abraham pleaded guilty in Douglas County Court to being a minor in possession of alcohol. She was fined $75.
