Out there: New, epic cover for 'Game of Thrones' open
From staff reports

Though it's called “The Legend of Zelda,” the video game series is actually about a hero named Link who saves a princess named Zelda. But webcomic artist Aaron Diaz (“Dresden Codak”) flipped things around by making Zelda a warrior and Prince Link the one who has to be saved. Diaz's full treatment is impressive and contains lots of art for Zelda fans to drool over.

As far as epic fantasy music goes, the two-minute theme that opens each episode of “Game of Thrones” is our favorite. It can and should be played any time some epicness needs to be injected into a situation. And we like new versions of the song, including an acoustic guitar cover of the theme by YouTuber (and bedroom recording enthusiast) Blue Skies.

When we heard about the “Porn for Women” Instagram account, we balked. But it's not porn so much as gorgeous pictures of gorgeous men doing gorgeous things. And no, it's not a bunch of shirtless models (though it does occasionally feature them). Ladies (and the fellas, too) will enjoy photos of well-dressed guys, including the aforementioned models and old-school gentlemen (like Sean Connery and Marlon Brando), as well as of-the-moment men (like Ryan Gosling, Tom Hardy and Jon Hamm).

Movie review: 'Transcendence' ends up quite ordinary

“Transcendence,” a sci-fi thriller about an attempt to meld the human mind with technology, falls far short of transcendence. So far short I had to fight off sleep.
