Two people suffered injuries described as non-life threatening in a shooting in northeast Omaha late Friday night, the Omaha Police Department reported.
Officer James Shade identified the two victims as Donnell Pierce, 25, and Vernita Hadley, 56. Also in the car were Shirleane Marshall, 48, and Eboni Marshall, 17.
The incident occurred at 11:47 p.m., police said. The victims said they were fired upon by occupants of another car after they had been to a gas station, then began to drive home. The shooting evidently occurred on Redick Avenue.
The foursome drove to 3714 Himebaugh Ave. and called the police. It wasn't clear early Saturday who lived at that address and what the relationship is between the four.
The suspect or suspects fled and haven't been identified, police said.
