COLLEGE STATION, Pa. — Nebraska's Wyatt Aycock earned All-America honors in the all-around Saturday at the NCAA men's gymnastics championships.
Aycock's total of 85.200 was good for seventh place, making him the first Husker All-American in the all-around since 2007. Aycock earned a 14.00 or better on five of the six events, barely missing that mark on the high bar with a 13.95.
Grant Perdue (vault) and Sam Chamberlain (parallel bars) qualified for Sunday's individual finals.
Meanwhile, Olympian Sam Mikulak won the all-around competition and helped Michigan pull away from Oklahoma in the final rotation to take the team title.
Michigan finished with 443.200 points, and Oklahoma had 440.100 after leading by five-tenths after five events. The Wolverines' final event was floor exercise, and they scored 75.250 while the Sooners earned 72.750 on the high bar.
