Freshman catcher Campbell Ditto drove in all three runs Sunday as UNO beat IUPUI 3-0 in Summit League action.
Ditto's two-run double in the first inning got the Mavericks on the board, and she added an insurance run in the fourth with her sixth home run of the season.
With the win, UNO (30-5, 8-1) secured its second straight series sweep at home.
Mav ace Dana Elsasser (18-5) didn't need much help from the offense. The junior from Hershey, Neb., allowed four hits and struck out eight in the complete-game victory.
Elsasser twice pitched out of jams. In the fourth, IUPUI put runners at second and third with no outs, but a strikeout, groundout and lineout ended the inning. In the seventh, IUPUI used two errors to load the bases with two outs, but Elsasser struck out Ali Mosier to end the game.
Ditto's two hits raised her season average to .357. Mathewson, a sophomore from Papillion-La Vista South, improved her team-leading average to .385 with two hits.
UNO continues Summit play with a three-game series at South Dakota, with a 2 p.m. doubleheader Tuesday and a 2 p.m. single game Wednesday.
