SIDNEY, Neb. — A Sidney woman convicted of stabbing her boyfriend with a pair of scissors has been sentenced to 10 months in jail.
Alicia D. Green, 30, of Sidney was sentenced for second-degree domestic assault in Cheyenne County District Court Wednesday.
Cheyenne County authorities arrested Green on Dec. 3, 2012, after a report of a disturbance. Police were told that a woman had threatened to stab her boyfriend. She had barricaded herself in the apartment.
Officers found Green’s boyfriend, Ronald Conger, in the apartment, with a stab wound to his left arm. He was taken to the local hospital.
Green told police that she and Conger had argued after he had come to recover his belongings from her home and she believed he had stolen cash from her. She alleged that Conger had stabbed himself.
Under a plea agreement, prosecutors dropped a felony charge of use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
Green received credit for 127 days already served in jail.
