GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — A Grand Island man has been charged with four felonies relating to possession and distribution of child pornography.
Ryan J. Brumbaugh, who will be 26 on Saturday, appeared in Hall County Court via video conference Tuesday. He is charged with three counts of visual depiction of explicit conduct and one count of possession of a visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct.
Prosecutors allege that he distributed computer files containing images of children engaged in sexual acts with other children or with an adult male. The children, boys and girls, appear to be between 7 and 12.
Each of the explicit conduct charges carries a possible penalty of three to 50 years in prison.
The charge of sexually explicit conduct involves a nearly 20-minute-long video of a girl, who appears to be between ages 6 and 10, engaged in sexual acts with two adult men. The possible penalty for that last charge is between one and 20 years in prison and up to a $25,000 fine.
Hall County Judge Art Wetzel set Brumbaugh’s preliminary hearing for May 13. Bail was set at $250,000.
