Another big storm is forecast to deliver another wintry blow to the region this weekend, but forecasters aren't yet sure of the exact path.
Barbara Mayes, meteorologist with the National Weather Service, said computer models suggest that the storm is more likely to track across Kansas into Missouri, and, if that's the case, Omaha should miss most if not all of the snow.
However, there's a chance that the storm will shift to the north, and, if that happens, the Omaha metro area will again find itself digging out from under a mess.
One thing is clear, Mayes said: The storm has enough power that people traveling south into Missouri and Kansas will need to pay attention to changing conditions.
The latest forecast indicates the storm will move into the Midlands Saturday and exit on Sunday. Until then, each day will bring greater certainty about who's likely to get hit.
