The Notre Dame Glee Club — an all-male collegiate choral group — will bring Irish favorites to Omaha.
The concert will be Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at St. John Church on the Creighton University campus. The visit, sponsored by The Notre Dame Club of Omaha, is the final stop on the club’s spring tour.
The club was founded in 1915 and has 80 members from many different courses of study at the university. These singers have performed in more than 40 states and 20 countries. Their director, Daniel Stowe, also works as conductor of the Notre Dame Symphony Orchestra and the Notre Dame Collegium Musicum.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Walsh Scholarship Fund which benefits students who choose Catholic higher education. The fund currently provides 12 scholarships to Notre Dame students from Nebraska and western Iowa.
Tickets, available at the door, are $10 for adults, $5 for students and $25 for families. Doors open at 7 p.m.
