CU finishes up road trip Tuesday

Creighton's baseball team will try to pick up its seventh win of the season Tuesday when the Bluejays play at Southeast Missouri State.

The 2 p.m. game in Cape Girardeau, Mo., will wrap up a four-game spring-break trip. Creighton is scheduled to open its home season Thursday with a game against North Dakota, but Sunday's snowstorm could alter those plans.

The Bluejays won two of three games at Austin Peay's Riverview Inn Classic to improve to 6-3. Creighton, which struggled offensively most of last season, scored 26 runs in the three games in Tennessee and is now averaging 7.2 runs per game while hitting .315.

Nine Bluejays are hitting .300 or better, with catcher Kevin Lamb leading the team with a .435 average.
