A 46-year-old Omahan was taken to a local hospital by private vehicle Saturday following a shooting near 17th Street and Fowler Avenue.
Officer Michael Pecha, a police spokesman, said officers were called to the Creighton University Medical Center about 3:20 p.m. after Martie Spencer sought treatment for a gunshot wound. His injuries didn’t appear to be life threatening, Pecha said.
Spencer was not cooperative with police, but a witness reported the shooting occurred at 4742 N. 17th St. Officers discovered that a shooting had occurred at that location.
Police have not released the names of any suspects.
