An Omaha man stole 27 guns during a burglary of a home in early February, authorities said. He returned three weeks later and took two vehicles.
Billy A. Russell, 22, was arrested Thursday at a fast food restaurant drive-thru window, said Marty Bilek, the chief deputy Douglas County sheriff.
The victim's neighbor saw the stolen vehicle and alerted a nearby Omaha police officer.
The guns were taken Feb. 8 from a house near 101st Street and Blair High Road, Bilek said. The vehicles were taken Monday, he said.
Twenty of the stolen guns were found at an apartment garage owned by Russell's girlfriend, Bilek said.
Russell was booked on suspicion of two counts of theft, burglary and receiving stolen items.
