More than 3,600 people enjoyed free admission to the Henry Doorly Zoo on Sunday.
First National Bank and its Community Free Days program sponsored the event.
The aquarium is always a crowd favorite, said Dawn Ream, communications and marketing director. But the five new playful and curious lion cubs also kept visitors' interest.
“It was a good chance for people to get out,” Ream said. “It was easy to have a family day for free that was educational and entertaining.”
