NCR Corp. has acquired Retalix Ltd., a retail software and services provider that has offices across the globe, including one in Omaha.
Global technology company NCR bought Retalix for about $650 million, excluding transaction-related fees, or a cash purchase price of $30 per Retalix share. As part of the deal, Retalix is now a wholly owned subsidiary of NCR.
An NCR spokesman said the company has no immediate plans for change at the Omaha office and wouldn’t disclose its number of employees.
In a statement, NCR Chairman and CEO Bill Nuti said that Retalix’s market-leading software, services capabilities and exceptional talent are a good fit for NCR and support the company’s focus on a software-driven future.
