Each state gets its own comic book cover this week
By Kevin Coffey
WORLD-HERALD STAFF WRITER

Every state in the union, including Nebraska, will get its own cover of the updated “Justice League of America” series from DC Comics. The flags of all 50 states, plus Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico, will appear on the customized covers. Find it in your local comic shop on Wednesday.

Speaking of superheroes, let’s talk Superman. You may have a definitive vision of Superman in your head, but he’s changed a lot since 1938. A new poster looks at every iteration of Superman’s face from 1938 to now, as well as the live action actors who portrayed him and his appearance in cartoons since 1941.

Whether you’re making a puppet show for the kids, you’re creating a puppet-based Web series or you just need a fun, silly craft project, the ladies from the Crab Cat craft show have just the thing: make a puppet, as taught by the Jim Henson Creature Shop. It sounds complicated, but only a few steps (and a lot of felt) are required.
