The 32-year-old son of an Omaha couple charged in a drugs-and-guns case has been arrested after turning himself in to police.
David Allen turned himself in at 6 a.m. Friday to detectives with the Omaha Police Department's firearms squad. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, cocaine.
His parents were arrested Tuesday after 33 marijuana plants and 63 guns were found in their Florence-area home.
An 8-year-old boy was at the home when police raided the house, at 2745 Wyoming St. The child was placed in protective custody.
David E. Allen, 57, was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of firearms while engaged in narcotics and child neglect. He posted 10 percent of $25,000 bail and was released from jail.
Cynthia L. Allen, 50, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and child neglect. She posted 10 percent of her $5,000 bail and also was released.
Police said they received an anonymous CrimeStoppers tip before the Allens' home in Florence was raided. The younger David Allen was also at the home Tuesday but was not arrested at that time. — Jay Withrow
