Omaha police arrested a 32-year-old man in the Kountze Park area Wednesday on a number of alleged violations.
The man was arrested about 5:50 p.m. near North 16th and Manderson Streets on suspicion of reckless driving, obstructing law enforcement, possession of an unregistered firearm, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, no proof of insurance, possession of drug paraphernalia and no valid registration.
Officers were made aware of a reckless driver near Florence Boulevard and Sahler Street, and police observed the man's vehicle pull into the driveway of a home on Manderson Street. The man ran toward a house, carrying an object in his hand, police said. After a short time inside the house, he left out the back and was arrested.
Later, officers found a weapon in the home.
