Traditional Irish folk band The Chieftains will bring their Celtic music to Omaha next week.
Omaha Performing Arts will present The Chieftains on Tuesday, 7 p.m. at the Holland Performing Arts Center.
Local group The Omaha Pipes and Drums will perform as a special guest. The all-volunteer band, regularly involved in civic events around Omaha, has been providing free highland bagpipe and drumming lessons since 1970.
The Chieftains’ 50-year career has allowed them to collaborate with music legends like Sting, Jodi Mitchell, Van Morrison and The Rolling Stones. The group has also won multiple Grammy awards, including Best Contemporary Folk Album.
Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased online at TicketOmaha.com, by phone at 402-345-0606 or at the Ticket Omaha office in the Holland Center, 13th and Douglas streets.
