Among states considered "flyover country," there are apparently a few places worth visiting, including Omaha, according to MSN's latest list, "The 10 coolest cities in the Midwest."
Omaha has hip neighborhoods, inexpensive real estate and more, MSN said.
The city, which sits inside "the land of steak and corn," has a great dining scene, according to the article, and in addition, Nebraska has a low unemployment rate and it cites Omaha and Lincoln as great places to work.
In addition to Omaha, the list includes Chicago; Cleveland; Columbus, Ohio; Kansas City; Milwaukee; Ann Arbor, Mich.; Minneapolis and St. Paul; St. Louis; and Madison, Wis.
The highlight of the Omaha entry is Omaha Fashion Week, which the list says puts the city on the national fashion scene.
