YORK — Bail has been set for Hannah Sabata, 19, of Stromsburg, who is charged with stealing a car and then robbing the Cornerstone Bank branch in Waco.
Sabata must pay 10 percent of $300,000 to be released from jail.
York County Judge Curtis Evans set a preliminary hearing for Dec. 26.
Sabata was arrested Nov. 28 after surveillance photos released to the public prompted numerous tips.
The York County Sheriff’s Office also recovered the stolen vehicle in Buckley Park at Stromsburg. The license plates had been removed, and deputies found a bracelet by the car with the words “I love Hannah.”
After Sabata was arrested, investigators searched her home. They say they recovered all but $30 of the stolen money.
It was later discovered that Sabata apparently created and posted an online video in which she declares she stole a car and robbed a bank, “using a gun, a pillow case and a note.” In the video, she holds up cash and says she “was having the best day of her life.”
