SCOTTSBLUFF — A Scottsbluff man accused of robbing a bank has been orderd to stand trial in District Court.
Michael Scott, 43, of Scottsbluff had a preliminary hearing Friday in Scotts Bluff County Court.
He has been charged with robbery and possession of a controlled substance.
Scott is accused of robbing a Valley Bank & Trust branch on Nov. 21.
Scott is also a suspect in a string of fraudulent withdrawals from three area banks. Police had been investigating Scott and other associates when the robbery occurred. He faces a charge of theft by deception in that case.
He is being held on $750,000 bail in the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center.
