The Omaha City Council and Douglas County Board are set to vote on resolutions decrying violence.
“Far too many lives in our community have been lost to gun violence, and this City Council agrees that everyone needs to join together to help save lives and transform our community,” says the resolution.
Both bodies are scheduled to vote Tuesday.
The resolutions are part of a Pledge for Peace push being made by Omaha 360, a north Omaha-based violence-prevention group.
