GRAND ISLAND — A Grand Island man who smashed up state and county cars parked near the Hall County Administration Building last summer has been sentenced to prison and ordered to pay more than $14,000 in restitution.
Mohamed A. Ali, 28, was convicted of two counts of felony criminal mischief, reduced from four counts, for the June 6 incident.
He was sentenced Tuesday in Hall County District Court to one year, three months to two years in prison on each count. The two sentences will be served at the same time. He was also ordered to pay $11,650 in restitution to the state and $2,758 in restitution to Hall County.
