GRAND ISLAND — A near drowning of a 9-month-old girl Monday night has been ruled an accident.
The baby was rushed to St. Francis Medical Center after the near drowning was reported about 8 p.m.
Grand Island Police Officer Butch Hurst said the baby is living with a foster family. Police and doctors cleared the caregivers of any wrongdoing, he said.
The child was in the bathtub when the incident occurred, he said.
