YORK — It was a dark, wet, cold and long night for York firefighters as they fought two mobile home fires in a 12- hour period.
The first was reported at 8:15 p.m. Monday, at York Mobile Plaza. That house was completely engulfed when firefighters arrived and was a total loss.
Neighbors told firefighters none of the occupants was home, York Fire Chief Kevin Stuhr said.
At 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters were called to another mobile home fire, near 11th Street and Platte Avenue.
The mobile home and all the contents were destroyed.
