Omaha Mayor Jim Suttle and Council Bluffs Mayor Tom Hanafan have bet on the outcome of Friday's Nebraska-Iowa football game — the winner gets Habitat for Humanity homes constructed on its side of the Missouri River.
This year's bet seems to take the expected point spread into account: Council Bluffs will have four homes built if Iowa wins an upset, while Omaha will receive two if Nebraska wins.
The Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge will be included in the game festivities. The bridge's new LED lights will glow with Husker colors on Omaha's side of the river, and Hawkeye colors to the east.
