CEDAR RAPIDS — One car was going the wrong way on Interstate 380 at the time of a head-on collision that killed one driver and injured the other, Cedar Rapids police said.
Police said the crash happened shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday. One of the vehicles was southbound in a northbound lane of I-380 when the cars collided, police said.
One driver died at the scene of the accident. The other driver was flown the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with life-threatening injuries.
The names of the drivers were not immediately released. — AP
