A 27-year-old Omaha man suffered a broken neck Saturday when his car collided with a vehicle driven by a man arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.
Scott Sueper was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center following the 4 a.m. accident at the intersection of 16th Street and the Storz Expressway. Police said his injuries did not appear to be life threatening, and that he was able to move his extremities.
Sgt. Jason Menning said a 2000 Plymouth Voyager minivan driven by Michael L. Wilson, 30, of Omaha was southbound on 16th Street when it collided with Sueper’s 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier that was eastbound on the Storz Expressway.
Wilson was booked into jail on suspicion of driving under the influence, causing bodily injury and driving with a suspended license.
Traffic in the eastbound lanes of the Storz Expressway had to be rerouted for about two hours during the investigation.
