The Huskers picked up a key piece for their 2013 recruiting class in Katy (Texas) running back Adam Taylor, who committed to NU late in the week. The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder — who has run for 1,591 yards and 26 touchdowns this year — is ranked as a four-star prospect by Rivals and Scout and a three-star prospect by 247Sports.
A downhill, one-cut-and-go runner who plays for the No. 7 team in the nation according to USA Today, Taylor visited Nebraska for the Penn State game. He had offers from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Stanford, among other schools. His stock slipped after he tore an ACL in his knee during his junior year, but he showed during a camp at LSU over the summer he’d recovered enough to be a top prospect.
NU has 15 commits for the 2013 class.
